How Does It Work?

The cassette pregnancy test detects human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced shortly after conception and present in urine. After urine is collected, 2–3 drops of specimen are added to the sample well using the pipette. The urine migrates across the test membrane, and if hCG is present at or above the detection threshold, a colored line forms in the test region. A colored line in the control region confirms the test has functioned properly.

How to Read Results

Negative (Not Pregnant): One colored line appears in the Control region only. No visible line appears in the Test region.

Positive (Pregnant): Two colored lines appear, one in the Control region and one in the Test region. The color intensity of the test line may vary depending on hCG
