- Peel off the blue label that covers the drug-screen result window.
- Read and interpret drug-screen results at 5 minutes. Negative results may be read as soon as they appear; read positive results at 5 minutes.
- Interpret the adulterant test strip between 3 and 5 minutes using the enclosed color chart.
How to Interpret Results
A positive drug-screen result shows one control line (C). A negative result shows both the control line (C) and test line (T); a faint test line is still interpreted as negative. A result is invalid when no control line appears.
Important: No meaning is attributed to test-line color, intensity, or width. A faint test line is still interpreted as a negative result. This screening device provides preliminary results only. Follow applicable program procedures for confirmation of presumptive positive results.
